September 14 @ 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Join esteemed historian Roger Daniels and writer Barbara Takei, for a timely and engaging lecture and dicussion on Tule Lake.
Mr. Daniels and Ms. Takei are working on a book about Tule Lake and the Japanese Americans who courageously protested the denial of their civil and human rights during WWII, and whose actions were stigmatized and ignored for most of their lifetimes.
Of the ten American concentration camps that imprisoned Japanese Americans during WWII, Tule Lake was the only one to be converted to a maximum-security segregation center, used to punish 12,000 dissidents who challenged the injustice of their wartime incarceration.
